"Hm?"

Then, his brain catches up to him.

"Ah. Well." He looks like he wants to adjust himself, but doesn't because he's still charging. "I suppose. I... hm."

He pauses, eyes looking away from Raven as his face sets into a small frown. There's something distinctively uncomfortable about his expression.

"I won't lie. I wasn't happy to see you. Especially not in such a state," he says, eyes flitting back to Raven, "but it was inevitable, I suppose."

He sits stock still, closing his eyes as energy flows back into him. It'll be a while before he's charged enough again to leave.

There's irritation at having to be helped like a pathetic wretch, but it's his own stubbornness that's to blame, this time. He shouldn't have let it come this far, regardless of personal feelings surrounding this place. That's not Raven's fault, and he shouldn't take it out on the kid.

"Better to rip off the bandaid," he says, eyes flitting open, though he doesn't look Raven in the eye. "I owe you my thanks for helping me once again."

He pointedly ignores the files that still dig at him every so often. He's found himself getting used to them... but he doesn't know if that's a good thing or not.

He got used to Shido's bug after a while too, after all.
