Hello there! It looks like I'm currently unavailable, so please call back later, or leave a voicemail after the tone. If it is truly urgent, please message me at (XXX) - XXX - XXXX. Thank you, and have a nice day!
You have this number, so feel free to leave a message.

He remembers everything, and yet Maruki may have affected him in other ways. He seems rather despondent, being awake here. A complete contrast from the few memories I have of him.
Right, that doesn't sound like Amamiya at all. Not the one I know, anyway, and clearly not the one you know either. However colored your memories may be from Maruki, I can say for sure that being despondent is not something I expect from Amamiya at all.
Isn't he angry, that he's been so casually tossed aside?
No, not all. If anything he was more concerned that I was trying to fight against Maruki. As though I was throwing away everything I had 'gained' in his reality. As though he would rather dream it all away.
Surely he doesn't truly believe that? There must be something Maruki has done, or perhaps something else has affected him.
He doesn't want to believe that his Ren could say those things. That he would really believe that Maruki has won, and that it's all pointless. That Dove would rather live in a world without Ren than have him in his life...
He'd rather dream? What good was all the vigilanting around then? Does he sincerely believe the world to be better off without him? Is he that fucking stupid?
Maruki clearly did something to him. That is not Amamiya. He would never give up so easily.
So it'll be a matter of figuring out what was done to him, then.
I still intend on trying to bring him into the Metaverse to see if there's any oddities like you suggested, though I will have to ask him first. Perhaps something there will reveal what has happened.
If we do so, would you like to come along? I understand if you may be busy, but I felt it was only fair to offer you the chance.
Of course. Not only am I curious about if there is a way to reverse whatever damage Maruki has caused, or about if the Metaverse will reveal anything, it will simply be safer. Even if neither of you can truly 'die', it's better not to take any chances. I'm rather powerful, so I'd be able to fight off the biggest threats.

He knows Falcon probably doesn't want something in exchange, but... well, he's going above and beyond for this, so he at least wants to try.
