[Keep calm. Keep calm. Keep calm. There's nothing he can do about it anymore. It doesn't even matter here. It was something he said as part of Shido's bug, and it would have been his undoing. Great, awesome.
... Yeah no. He's even angrier now.]
I'm going to shoot whoever sent that picture.
[And maybe Amamiya, when he gets back home. Why the hell did he even bother hanging out if he knew the entire time?
... Okay, well, that's obvious. He just wanted information out of Falcon. God, he never gave a rat's ass, did he? The one person he thought-
[Heh. Whoever it was is in for a bad time if Falcon finds them first—though Magpie doesn't think he'll actually shoot them. Probably. Maybe just in the knee.]
I know exactly how you feel.
I wish I could say my guess is that it's a child. But something on this level would be typical of the Phantom Thieves I knew. Not that Amamiya ever took this tack with me.
[It depends... if Falcon's deductions are correct...]
It was someone who knew about the nature of my existence, so I believe it may have been someone I've met before. They knew enough to ask if I was even capable of eating.
I haven't run into many Amamiyas/Kurusus, but one stands out. I can't say for certain, but I have my suspicions.
So it seems, yes. If it was sent to both of us, it's reasonable to assume it was sent to others as well.
It felt more like a taunt than anything, but I suppose that's also a reasonable explanation. One could also suspect a Futaba to have done such a thing, but if it were her, I don't believe blocking would've stuck. As for Amamiyas, I've interacted with Joker, Trickster, Drake, Fiend... and the new one, Kira.
That last one is a real piece of work, too, so that's the one I suspect. That number isn't Joker's, Trickster's, or Drake's, and as far as I'm aware, Fiend has no phone at this time.
Drake would do such a thing without hesitation, but as much as I hate to admit it, perhaps not to you after the Palace. Unless you've offended him in some way I'm not privy to. Trickster and Fiend I don't know well enough to judge, so all else being equal, I'd suspect the worst.
I'm inclined to agree with you, about the Sakuras. Glitch is known for tricks of this nature, but nothing so technically simplistic. Certainly nothing you could simply block.
I haven't heard the name Kira before. That's an odd one.
He's the newest Kurusu. Arrived a few days ago. First thing the motherfucker does? Take a picture of me like some sort of paparazzi.
Compound that with his apparant ability to not only travel through time through his pictures, but, as I suspect, take over people's bodies with the same ability, my impression of him was already poor. There's also the lovely fact that he made the conscious decision to not only order me around, but also dangle basic respect over my head as if it were something to be earned. When I told him to fuck off, he attempted to use said powers to, I believe, manipulate me into agreeing.
It seems, however, that being here has hampered his powers somewhat. The first time he used them, it was to find out my codename, which succeeded. The second time it was the forementioned attempt at manipulation, but that failed.
So, with all that; there's a chance one of the other Amamiyas may have gotten a burner phone, true, but considering the nature of this Kira, I have my suspicions.
[There's something of a delay before he replies. In that time, he heads to the Velvet Room, sneers at Igor, and checks for new notes. Sure enough, there's one in a new hand. Any tips on how to get out of here?...]
That's alarming. Such powers would put him almost on Maruki's level. An outright denial of our most basic agency, which he's prepared to use on a whim.
This note on the board looks to be from him. "Just call me Kira". He's asking how to get out of here, which is a question we'd all like answered. But perhaps not one he'd need to ask himself, if his power is as you describe.
Indeed. That kind of power is dangerous, especially with how readily he was prepared to use it.
At least it seems his powers have been severely dampened by being here. When he tried to use them on me, they flat-out failed. It's possible Igor is hampering him, and also forcing him to stay here as well.
[And the look on his face at the realization he couldn't use his powers was nothing short of delightful. A small positive.]
With all of that in mind, he's my number one suspect. He's nothing short of callous, if not completely indifferent to how anyone other than himself feels. It is, of course, possible that he only acted like that because I am what I am, but if that's the case, I'm not exactly thrilled to give him the benefit of the doubt anyway. He's a piece of shit, plain and simple.
[There's an attempt at at least being somewhat rational about it. However...]
It does not seem unlikely. Clearly we're not the only ones who received this taunt, and I wouldn't put it above him. It seems like the exact kind of underhanded thing he'd do.
Perfect. I could probably even fill my ammunition slot with hot sauce for some extra zing behind it. We could pincher manoeuver him, if he tries to run.
Or we could simply hit him here and there. Follow him around. Leave him wondering where it's coming from.
Douse him with honey and feathers once we're done with him. A little sweet treat before the beehives from earlier get dropped on him. Maybe we could even make it spicy honey...
[He's not sure that's a thing, but there's probably someone out there who had an idea like that, yes?]
Oh, delightful! And it'd be nice and slow too. We'd get to watch every minute second of it. The ants would be fed well, too, so it's a win-win.
[Maybe he's getting a little too into this, but how could he not, when it's so much fun?]
Ah, you're probably right. I saw, yes, so it's safe to assume even more of us got the image. I suppose we should at least find out if anyone else got any extra messages alongside it.

What a shitty cosmic joke]

They mentioned your nature specifically? The text I got contained only that image.
no subject
[There's a nagging feeling, but...]
no subject
They asked you, and then texted more than one of us, you'd say?
I wonder who else got this text. The numbers are easy—just scrape them from the network.
Are they trying to gather information? By seeing who overreacts to the image? It's crude, but Amamiya is bold.

You think he might have sent the image more widely only to muddy the waters? To make it seem as if you weren't his target?
no subject
It does not seem unlikely. Clearly we're not the only ones who received this taunt, and I wouldn't put it above him. It seems like the exact kind of underhanded thing he'd do.
[Yeah, no, he's pissed, doubly so now.]
no subject
It's possible. But it's not the only possibility.
What you say about him gives me the feeling of a child. A dangerous child, with extraordinary power. But still a child.
[Okay, maybe he really has been around the kids too much. And it's only speculation. But.]
no subject
You're right. As I said, I'm biased, so to be certain we'd have to rule out the other candidates.
That said, he certainly acts like it. An entitled child with too much power at his fingertips, who is used to getting whatever he wants.
Even if his body is that of a teenager, who the fuck even knows when time travel enters the equation.
no subject
[Something Magpie is certainly best equipped to judge.]
But even if it's just a childish prank, we need to strike back. Perhaps we should egg him.
[It's in the line of a non-serious suggestion.]
no subject
[... It's not clear how serious he is about that. Mostly not, probably, but a part of him...]
How about dumping a milkshake over his head? Next to a beehive, perchance.
[This, however, isn't serious either.]
no subject
Several beehives. And a vat of pureed hot peppers. In his eyes.
[That fucking takoyaki. Actually, maybe they could do something with that idea..?]
no subject
[He, of course, does not know about the takoyaki incident.]
Salt in his coffee, and some hot pepper pies to throw in his face. We both are rather accurate, after all.
[Understatement of the century, of course; Falcon is a robot, and Magpie is as accurate as a human could possibly get.]
no subject
I have it. We get some paintballs and fill them with hot sauce. Then we can snipe at him at our leisure, from any location.
no subject
Or we could simply hit him here and there. Follow him around. Leave him wondering where it's coming from.
Douse him with honey and feathers once we're done with him. A little sweet treat before the beehives from earlier get dropped on him. Maybe we could even make it spicy honey...
[He's not sure that's a thing, but there's probably someone out there who had an idea like that, yes?]
no subject
If we're going in that direction, ants are far superior. Many species are carnivorous. Bees will just take the honey. Ants will strip him to the bone.
[Sigh. It's such a beautiful image.]
Realistically, we should find out who else got this message. Have you seen the network? Dove seems more confused than usual.
no subject
[Maybe he's getting a little too into this, but how could he not, when it's so much fun?]
Ah, you're probably right. I saw, yes, so it's safe to assume even more of us got the image. I suppose we should at least find out if anyone else got any extra messages alongside it.
[That might clarify some things, too.]
no subject
Ren would get it.]
A response to Dove's message seems like a good option at this point. Certainly we should monitor the replies.
It will feed whoever's responsible, but it may also draw them from hiding. And certainly it should get the attention of anyone else who was attacked.
